Full Service Middle School

There will not be Sunday Fuel this Sunday, November 11th. We hope that you will attend the main service in the worship center. Please check-in at the Garage and then we will all make our way to the worship center together and try to sit in one section with all of student ministries.

Start telling all of your friends, because November 4th is Shake-Up Sunday in the Garage. The student who brings the most friends (who don’t go to church) will win 3 things.

Did you know that every month we have a Leader of the Month?  Check out “The Team” page of the website to see a picture of the certificate ceremony. I’m not telling you who it is! You have to go look for yourself!

This Sunday morning (October 14th), as a part of our 4-week series, The Kingdom, we will be looking at the lies that Satan tells us through different forms of media. For most of our students, the music they listen to, the magazines they read, the movies they watch, are tools the enemy uses to put lies in our head that make us doubt the truth of God’s word.

For our students to understand how they have been affected by these different types of media, we will be looking closely at some secular song lyrics. We will be looking for the lies that we sing a long with in the car, and the truth of God’s word that combats those lies.

I’m confident that our students will be challenged by looking at the lyrics of the songs that some of them know word for word. If you would feel more comfortable being apart of Sunday Fuel this Sunday, we would love to have you.

There is just something that happens when you take a group of Middle School students away from their normal, day to day environment, and put the truth of God before them. This past weekend, our students were challenged to Connect with God. We looked at the life of Moses all weekend, and thought about how we can Listen, Speak, and Look for what God is asking us to do in our lives. It was great to watch our students jump around during worship, but also really engage with each other, and with the Word of God. We left on Saturday night feeling challenged and encouraged all at the same time. It was a great weekend!

This Saturday, September 29, from 8:30am-1:00pm, we will be partnering with Operation Inasmuch. The Middle School Ministry will be meeting at West Vista Ridge Apartments to help with Car Care for Single Moms. This is a great opportunity for C-Groups to serve together, and is a way to connect to the Work of Christ in our community. Directions to West Vista Ridge Apartments.

This Wednesday, September 26th, we will be having our quarterly worship night called Focus. We hope that you will come join us in the Garage from 7-8:30, for a time of worship, communion, and prayer. We would love to see you there!!

The discussion questions for this week have been posted on “The Team” page. These questions go over some key scriptures that were used on Sunday when Alan spoke about “Connecting to the Teachings of Christ.”

We want to invite all parents and students to come and meet your new C-Group Leader for the year! The night will be spent just hanging out, getting to know the people in your C-Group and your C-Group leader. We hope to see you all there Wednesday, September 5th, from 7-8:30pm.

Are we still having Sunday Fuel even though it’s Labor Day Weekend? Of course! We love to see your beautiful smiling faces every week, in The Garage! Come and hang out with us @ 11am as we start our new “Connect 4″ series this Sunday.
