Parent Support Team

We are glad you stopped by the Parent Support Team page! It takes a lot of help from parents like you to keep the Full Service Middle School ministry up and running. We would love for you to help out in any way that you can. If you find a certain area of the ministry or specific event you can help out with, click on the link below to print out a parent support form.  After completing the parent support form, please return it to the Student Ministries drop box, located just outside the Student Ministries office.

 

HAND’S ON TEAM (Application process required)

  • C- GROUP LEADERS: (Small Group) Lead or provide a support role in leading/shepherding a group of 5-8 students three times each month. It is a time filled with Bible study, fellowship, prayer, accountability, and fun.
  • FUEL LEADER: (Sunday morning leader) Help students feel welcomed and cared for during our Sunday morning program at 11:00am.
  • EVENT LEADER: Help chaperone events, activities, camps, mission trips at various times throughout the year.

PARENT SUPPORT TEAM

  • September 29, 2007- Operation Inasmuch: Car care for single moms at West Vista Ridge Apartments, 9 am – 1 pm. Needed: adults who can supervise/instruct youth providing car service, washing, and some women to love on and encourage the moms and their children while they wait.
  • October 5-6, 2007- Junior High Believe Conference in Gatlinburg, 4 pm Friday – Saturday night late. Needed: adult chaperones, room leaders, and administrative aid (take up money and check off signed releases).
  • December 19, 2007- Christmas Party. Needed: lots of homemade desserts and adults to assist with arranging food, set-up and take-down.
  • January 25-26, 2008- Lock-in. Needed: adult chaperones and food preparation.
  • March 7-8, 2008- 5th Grade Adventure Camp. Needed: adult chaperones.
  • March 18-19, 2008- Project 4:12: Student-led retreat with Cedar Spring Presbyterian and Two Rivers’ middleschool youth. Needed: host homes to provide 5-8 students a place to sleep, breakfast, and transportation to and from Fellowship Church. Also need adults to help give supervision to service project on Saturday afternoon.
  • May 9-10, 2008- 8th Grade Banquet. Needed: decorating tables, set-up and take-down, supervising younger students serving.

During the Summer Months:

  • Operation Backyard: week-long service project to inner-city residents refurbishing homes with needed repairs. Students sleep in downtown church and have programming each evening. Needed: crew chiefs, meal preparation, chaperones at night.
  • Wednesday evening activities: Needed: adults to flip hamburgers, play volleyball, supervise swimming, chaperones events, etc.
